Desktop Website Case Study
BestBuy
This project is a UI design study to redesign BestBuy’s desktop website page, a well known electronics retailer.
My goal was to improve the accesibility in the app, change the distribution of the color palette to improve the branding and differentiate more from other retailer’s pages with similar color palettes.

Solution
The images and boxes now have rounded corners. The buttons now have the same colors and style, creating consistency. Also, the buttons now have shadows to look more like the real ones. The size of some of the images was increase and that improve accessibility. The ship and overview elements are now aligned in the shopping page. One dark blue was added in the color palette and the light blue was use in less elements to give another feel to the page.

Problem
The website has sharp corners in their images and boxes, making it feel unfriendly to the target user. There is no consistency in the size and colors for the buttons. Some of the images are very small and difficult to see for a person with a no 100 vision. Specially in the shopping page some elements are not align. The colors use by the website are very similar to the Walmart’s page, so the Best Buy page does not differentiate enough from the other one.
